“Even after six albums and countless critical acclaim, Sammi Smith still has the ability to portray the gritty reality of American life in both her lyrics and her performances as very few others do. Graduating from country music ‘outlaw’ to Grammy Award-winning icon, on this album Sammi delivers a moving collection of tracks that showcase her trademark blend of country, folk, and Americana, bringing her unique and mesmerizing vocal performances to a collection of her most earnest songs to date, including ‘The Rainbow in Daddy Eyes’, ‘Deepening Snow’ and ‘The Last Letter’.
