This hauntingly beautiful story vividly depicts the harsh life of a teenage boy coming of age in the rough and tumble landscape of Montana, the tradition of “The Last Picture Show” “… a rich and complicated tale of compassion in a cold climate – Dennis Lim”, the Village Voice. The soundtrack includes score selections by Jay Farrar (Uncle Tupelo), new songs by Freakwater, Vic Chesnutt, Blood Oranges, and Pernice Brothers, and previously released recordings by Neko Case, Ryan Adams, the Flatlanders and others.
