Fans of classic soul looking for something new need look no further than this release, which harks to the heyday of Stax without sounding dated. Veteran soul survivor Charles Walker, who during the sixties filled the New York club scene as Little Charles & the Sidewinders, delivers a stunning collection of classic soul. Only previously available in Europe here is what the press has said… “Southern Soul revived with a passion ‘ 4/5 * UNCUT “Cut from the same cloth as Solomon Burke’s last: 8/10 NME “Rediscoveries like Walker’s are getting rarer.
