Recorded at Underhill Studios, London, in October 1980, Roy Gaines and his Crusaders stars Barry Finnerty and Keith Jones serve up an electric blues masterclass with this remarkable record that respects it’s rich lineage while injecting fresh vitality into the noble blues tradition. A protégé of the legendary T-Bone Walker, with this marvelous blues album Gaines doesn’t just play the music; he mainlines the emotion right into your soul and, having not only learned from the masters but earning his place among them, leaves you desperate for more.
