2015 release. Jeff Zager’s southern roots have traversed a broad spectrum of outsider music from his blown-out noise collage work on Chu’s “Musings Trill”, the left-field electronic productions on label 100% Silk, avant-garde solo drum performances, to harsher realms of the knob-twisting noise scene. His pallete of synths, drum machines, guitars and sax, pivoting around clear vocal melodies found on Still/Alive recall instrumentally-explorative recordings by Grimes or Majical Cloudz. Still / Alive was recorded in Savannah, Georgia. Voice & melody monitor this recording of rural pop. Jeff Zagers plays drums, keys, guitar, bass, alto saxophone, drum machines (programming), and voice for your listening pleasure.
