Pure vocal energy, sung without an instrumental backup, and yet achieving a full spectrum of sound with the feel of rhythm in complete harmony – of course, the voices belong to Jerry, Toubo, Jesse, Jimmy and Jay Otis, the original harmonizing Persuasions. A little different than some of their other albums that stem from the gospel touch, this album leans on the rhythm and blues side, but has a versatility of it’s own. Entitled “Stardust,” this album will be considered strongly to contain the best work of the early Persuasions. They began singing a long time ago, singing songs and styles a long time before they happened. The Persuasions bring the real true sound of the street, spoken by the only true instrument, the human voice. This rare classic, originally released in the early 1970s, is presented here newly remastered for this exclusive release. .
