1.10 Song of the Shimmering Way

Song of the Shimmering Way stands as Tom’s most personal and ambitious work. Originally released in 1977 by Satril Records, it reflects an artist deeply immersed in Celtic myth and tradition, weaving ancient stories and symbols into both his lyrics and the album’s design. It resonates with an almost mystical energy, as though Tom had unlocked a direct connection to the voices of the past-a connection he had spent years seeking. Tom’s fascination with Celtic traditions wasn’t a passing interest; it was the culmination of a long and deeply personal journey. He had immersed himself in the stories, symbols, and rhythms of a culture that felt like home to his restless spirit, using it’s mythology as a lens to better understand himself and his place in the world.
