This Arkansas singer started scoring big hits in ’42 (“There’s a Star-Spangled Banner Waving Somewhere”), notched a bunch leading into the ’50s and charted again in the late ’60s. This 1970 release found him putting his own spins on “Born to Lose,” “Wichita Lineman,” “Release Me,” “My World of Memories,” “You Gave Me a Mountain,” “Touch My Heart,” “Stardust” and more! Good Time.
