Subtitled – 30 Vocal Group Classics from the Golden Age. First released in 1992, ‘Doo Wop Shop’ has been one of the most enduring – not to mention best-selling – doo wop compilations in Ace Records’ history. A fine representation of street corner symphonies, it features many of the genre’s true superstars (Dion & the Belmonts, the Penguins, the Harptones, the Capris, & the Jive Five) on the original versions of ‘I Wonder Why’, ‘Denise’, ‘Remember Then’, ‘Pretty Little Angel Eyes’, & ‘Earth Angel’. 30 tracks plus a 12-page booklet with vintage photos & notes on the artists. 2003.
