Swan’s piano-centric pop songs sometimes recall the confessional tones of Laura Nyro, Regina Spektor and Rufus Wainwright, but comparisons still can’t come close to describing her unique vision. With an appearance by Jimi Tenor, POVERINA proves there’s no limit to where Astrid or her music will go.
