Multi-instrumentalist Bruce Hutton presents a range of tunes and songs that to him exemplify “old time.” for him, old time music has a less specific and more literal meaning: instead of describing only the sound of southern string bands, he insists it includes “New England dance music, jug band music, or Hawaiian guitar, which are just as old-timey.”
