A classic American soul singer who scored hits in the 1960’s including “It Takes Two,” a duet with Marvin Gaye, Kim Weston is featured here on the rare single “Lift Ev’ry Voice And Sing” b/w “This Is America,” originally released in 1968 on the Pride Records label at the height of the Black Pride movement. Finally available in the digital domain, the single has been newly remastered from the original 45 RPM vinyl mixes.
