Originally issued promotionally under the group name The Blue Boys on the Jamito label, Catamount Records commercially released soul outfit Sound of Excitement’s Please Don’t Cry / Why Did You Go in 1967. Both thumpers gained popularity in England’s Northern Soul scene during the 1970s. After decades of being available on vinyl only, the newly remastered single can finally be had in the digital domain. .
