‘Jones & Bromfield are sort of free-verse roots-pop, a mix of relaxed folk, natural gospel and jazz delivered with passionate conviction for a holistic, artistic virtue.’ – The Washington Post ‘Multi-instrumentalist / vocalist Bill Bromfield’s prowess on guitar is evident in every locale… Vocalist Lisa Jones has a soaring set of pipes.’ – Maryland Musician ‘I like Bill and Lisa and I like their music. Earth is a solid piece of work that deserves a listen.’ – Vic Heyman in SingOut! ‘Lisa Jones and Bill Bromfield’s music is part folk, part pop. Wrapped in Bromfield’s intricate guitar work and carried by Jones’ strong, expressive vocals.’ – The Charlotte Observer ‘They both play acoustic guitars but with different styles. Added to that are their strong voices and perfect harmonies. The result is a rich and full sound that captures the listener.’ – The Daily Collegian (Penn State University) ‘Lisa Jones’ voice is characterized by throaty low and mid-range dives and gospel reaches into the highs.. She is supported on stage by Bill’s mellow voice and lead guitar work… I recommend attending one of their performances.’ – Northern Virginia Rhythm ‘Unconcerned with pop trends, they write about everyday life in simple, tuneful fashion. Their voices are pleasant, their tone earnest, their outlook optimistic.’ – The Washington Post ‘[The duo of Lisa Jones and Bill Bromfield] present a variety of tunes in a fast-paced format that is lively, well-paced, energetic and entertaining.’ – The Baltimore Sun ‘Both on guitar they sound as if backed by a band.’ – The Frederick Post.
