By 1978, Carol Douglas stood as one of disco’s most captivating figures, her polished voice and infectious grooves lighting up dancefloors worldwide. This record, released at the height of the disco craze, is widely considered her most complete album and yet one of her least known and most underappreciated. Blending the smooth vocals, tight production, and vibrant arrangements she’d been crafting for years to create a quintessential soundtrack for the era, this album, produced by Michael Zager, showcases Douglas’ growth as a performer, navigating the space between heartfelt delivery and high-energy disco chic.
