This cocky soul singer had one of the most sizzling soul-dance tracks of the late ’60s. Boogaloo down Broadway hit #5 on the R&B charts in ’67 and became the title track of Johnny’s classic 1968 album on the Phil-L.A. of Soul label-now on CD for the first time (finally)! the smash title cut is joined by the hits Got What You Need and (She’s) Some Kind of Wonderful and the rest of the original album, plus two bonus tracks-including the hit Hitch It to the Horse !
