Northwest singer/songwriter Matt Price brings US a new collection of originals on his second CD, Cure for the Blues, straight out of his wandering mind. You’ll find ironic torch songs, cowboy murder ballads, epic sea tales, urban character studies and wistful love songs all with Matt’s unique imagery, wordplay and melody. But you won’t find any messages or agendas, no sentimental anthems, no easy answers. Just a good look at love and death, with some joy and heartache and acceptance thrown in. Matt doesn’t have the patience to write a screenplay. But give him 3:55 and both your ears and he’ll weave a tale as deeply textured as a classic novel or as intricate as a film noir masterpiece.
