2013 solo album from New York’s Eric Copeland, an integral member of Black Dice and Terrestrial Tones. Samples clatter playfully, while wild and wobbly drum breaks hold the arrangements together – barely. Joke in the Hole also marks Copeland’s return to DFA, where Black Dice released their seminal 2002 debut Beaches & Canyons – the label’s first-ever full-length. In search of the essential feel-good Psychedelic noise record for the summer? Look no further.
